Scent notes

Santal Desire is the warmest thing we make. Rose petal on the top, but a dry rose rather than a sweet one, and under it a soft musk that rounds the edges. The sandalwood at the base is creamy and stays in a room long after the flame is out. It suits an evening better than a morning.

How to use

Trim the wick to a quarter inch each time. Give the first burn two to three hours so the wax reaches the glass, then keep single burns under four hours. Best in a bedroom, a bath, or anywhere you want the air to feel settled.

Why amber glass

Rose and sandalwood oils turn quickly in daylight, and amber glass filters that light before it reaches them. The scent stays true from the first hour to the last. Wash the jar out afterward and it makes a good brush cup.

Is Santal Desire a sweet scent?

No. The rose is dry and the sandalwood is creamy rather than sugary, so it reads warm instead of sweet.
